Kenya

Kenya is a beautiful country, and the number one tourist destination in East-Africa. Most people who visit Kenya will visit the Serengeti National Park. Our trip didn’t do that – we went to some other parks instead.

Ten minutes after leaving the hotel in Nairobi, we were standing by the side of the road, Richard trying to figure out what was wrong…

  

In Kenya we crossed the Equator. For you scientists: the water really rotates in different directions on opposite sides of the equator – you can see the effect within less than 50 meters. And on the equator, it doesn’t rotate at all!
