Namibia is a very pleasant country, with canyons, deserts, bars, balloons, quadbikes, and wildlife…<\/b><\/p>\n

The scenery in Namibia is dramatic: the Fish River Canyon (larger than the Grand Canyon); a view from a hill along the side of the road that we climbed<\/b><\/p>\n

At our first campsite there was a nice bar —- where Jo learned how to drink a “springbokkie”<\/b><\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0 \u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

Toilets on the road (sorry Rob, it happened to be you…); my first cooking duty<\/b><\/p>\n

Remember the comment in my email about sand in Namibia? This is on the road to Luderitz<\/b><\/p>\n

I took a hot-air balloon flight over the desert, followed by a champagne breakfast in the middle of nowhere…<\/b><\/p>\n

Isn’t this what a desert is supposed to look like? This is the Namib Desert, near Swakopmund<\/b><\/p>\n

It was in the Namib Desert that we went “quad-biking”<\/b><\/p>\n

You wouldn’t have expected it, but there are seals in Namibia, at Cape Cross<\/b><\/p>\n

In Etosha National Park, the elephants came up to the watering hole at the campsite to drink<\/b><\/p>\n
